Our band was founded in 2007 by Joshua Atkins and his dad Michael.  It was Joshua's dream to have a bluegrass band where he could share his music with people.

 

Joshua and his dad would play in church and in the front yard at the beginning of his music career.  This love for music is what inspired the River Bottom Rhythm Band.

 

As to the name of the band, it was the brainchild of Michael Atkins. Because we live near a river bottom and have rhythm, thus the name of the band was selected by him. 

With each challenge we have encountered, we became stronger in our faith. We may provide links to other sites that provide more detail on our church history or particular events in our past.
